great demo! Chat and I really enjoyed it! The writing was really fun and playful between the two and while there isn't a lot of cgs or anything the one you have is hilarious! Good luck and good job on this demo!

okay the fact that my name is nova i'm a scorpio and we have a similar humor and aesthetic was so funny..... like talking to myself djsdj that aside!! this was really entertaining!! i honestly found it cute and she was quite funny, i really like the dynamic between them! also really laughed at the possitive affirmations, looking forward to the rest!!

So,, onto the actual thoughts
I was really impressed by the amount of custom shenanigans in this. It's obviously still a renpy game but you truly mangled that engine into your own vision. The clickable desktop icons, the chat log, emotes, and general ui/ux feels were unique, and fit the game well.
The general visual style was also lovely. Your art is adorable, and from a production standpoint you're also really efficient with the limited scope and assets to still make this feel fleshed out!
Lastly, your writing. HOLY SHIT dfhgjdfghb I love nova to bits- her teasing and general attitude are so fun and hit all the buttons for me. I was so sad when the demo ended because I want more of this!! so I'm really looking forward to future updates. The games you play with Nova felt unique and meaningful in their variations too, which helped Extort My Heart feel like it's a pliable and squishy thing that actually responds to your input (next to name and pronoun selections). (Like, there's many "choices matter" vns where you still very obviously see the pearlstringing. That didn't happen here!)
A small criticism I have is that the actual extortion never felt that... present? We get more days with Nova, but the actual forking over of money is never really given presence. Which makes this feel much more lighthearted (maybe intentional, maybe not?)
Overall, thank you for making this :3 Would get extorted by a goth girl that's mean to me again 10/10

I definitely agree on the extortion aspect not feeling as pressing as it should. It's meant to be a light hearted game, but that's still an element I want to get more into. Unfortunately due to time constraints I didn't have time to edit or refine anything so it's all essentially first draft still. In a future update the player will actually be able to choose their general personality at the start of the game which will affect how they feel about the extortion- scared, angry, etc, and it'll affect how they react throughout the game (wont lock you out of any endings though, don't worry! You can still date the goth girl, even if she scares you~). What I had already written for that already wasn't enough for the demo though, so I thought it best to leave it out. It's likely going to be in the first update though! The days already in the demo are going to be expanded upon as I update as well it so expect more of that!
Anyways I'm glad you had fun, and I hope you enjoy the future updates that come out! <3
