This project was made for the 2024 Otome Jam and Josei Jam!
There you are minding your own business when you find someone's phone and the owner starts texting asking for it back! Will you keep it for yourself to sell, make a new friend, or perhaps romance the cute cosplayer who it belongs to? The choice is yours!
Lost and Found is a mobile phone chat simulator and visual novel where you find yourself in the possession of a cute cosplayers lost phone!
Features:
-Nameable main character! Default name is Jay. Players pronouns are not specified. Your mc can be whoever you want!
-Eight endings! Three main endings and five 'early' endings! Everything from oversleeping, to dating, to friendship, telling his mother he's a degenerate, or maybe even...marriage?
-Option to not be interested in romantic relationships! Flirt all you want! If you say you're not interested in pursuing romance Grayson will respect that!
-Choose your hobby! Do you like makeup, sewing, cooking, painting, puzzles, or building models? Maybe you want your mc to write a book! You can choose between romance, non fiction, sci-fi, or mystery! Perhaps your mc wants to read a fantasy epic about sword wielding dragon riding lesbians, or a book about two cute boys who kiss but one is secretly a vampire! Or maybe your mc prefers to code? You can choose for them to be working on an rpg, platformer, or an otome! ;)
-Nameable pet! If you choose to have one that is. Default name is Fredrick!

Oh goodness...this one was adorable and so full of love. I've only played a fraction of the game since I've only completed one ending so far since it's getting a bit late as of writing this comment. Now, I haven't pursued any other endings aside from the one I got on my first run (Ending 8) for ease of skipping through dialogue to find differences, but I did go back and try out a handful of other hobbies and there is just SO much detail! That combined with how many endings there are and what you can do or say to Grayson, I find that there's lots of effort and thus lotsa love in this project! (,,> ω<,,)
And speaking of, Grayson...sweet Gracie...I wish to love and cherish him (*ﾉωﾉ)..............ahem, for real though! He's both so charming and magnetic while also being rather relatable. While I may differ from him greatly in terms of personal identity and history, I could deeply understand his struggles and where he was coming from.

When he began to really get into his personal history, I really wanted to just reach out and comfort him or just...something! Anything! I wanted to tell him he wasn't stupid for wanting that love! That he was allowed to still love them even if it felt stupid! That sometimes feelings are just like that and he was allowed to feel that way, even if he knew it was never going to happen!! Augh!!! I'm trying to keep this comment as vague as I can, it's just that I felt very strongly about this part!! Waugh!!ヽ(；A；)ノ

I look forward to playing more of LAF and uncovering more of the little details and differences! (✧∀ ✧ 人 ) Maybe I will muster up the courage to be more indifferent or perhaps even mean to Grayson...but for now, I am content in having gotten to know him and being allowed to love him (♡ ⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝) All in all, a very cute and well-done game with a ton of heart!

I'm so glad you love Gracie! I tried to make him a more realistic character and love interest. He's a sweet guy but has his flaws and baggage like everyone else.
I had to cut out a lot of things I wanted to add to get it submitted in time for the jam, so I'm glad the game didn't suffer for losing out on that. Think more ways for the mc to express themself, custom pronouns, as well as epilogues for all the endings! I'm hoping to add them in in the near future but this is still a completed game as is and I'm really so happy to hear you enjoyed it. Genuinely thank you for leaving this comment!
